South Island Tour (NZD1250.00 + air ticket )
Day 1 Auckland/Christchurch We meet the tourists
at Auckland airport and fly to the " Garden City"
of Christchurch. You will enjoy the Park, garden and
English character architecture, Christchurch Centre.
Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 2 Christchurch/Mount Cook/Queenstown This
morning we leave Christchurch to travel across the Canterbury
Plains and through Burkes Pass and past Lakes Tekapo
and Pukati to grandeur of Southern Alps dominated by
Mount Cook. You may have an opportunity to choose the
optional helicopter riding to top of Mount Cook to see
the wonderful views of the glacier's. Then we follow
the Southern Apls southward through Lindis Pass and
the Kawarau gorge to lake Wahatipu and Queenstown. Overnight
in Queenstown.
Day 3 Queenstown/Milford Sound/Te Anau Today
we travel along the shores of Lake Waktipu to Te Anau,
gateway to the World Heritage Fiordland National Park,
from the Homer Tunnel we emerge Into the Cleddau Valley
, the we take a Milford Sound Red Boat Cruise, for an
unforgettable experience to explore the wonder of this
majestic fiord. Then we return to Te Anau and stay one
night in Te Anau.
Day 4 Te Anau/Queenstown/Wanaka This morning
we travel back to Queenstown . You have some free time
to enjoy this fabulous resort and to take part in some
optional activities such as: thrilling jet boating on
the rivers; white water rafting; helicopter rides through
River Chamsms; bundy jumping; cruising on the lake and
so on. After lunch, we head for the colourful Lake Wanaka.
Overnight in Wanaka .
Day 5 Wanaka/Fox Glacier/Greymouth Today we travel
through Haast Pass into Mt Aspring and Westland National
Parks. We drive north along the coast to the glacier
region to visit Lake Matheson and to explore the township
or take the optional helcopter flight over the glaciers.
Then we go to greymouth to a Greenstone Factory to see
craftsmen cutting and polishing giant boulders to create
fine jewellery. Overnight in Greymounth.
Day 6 Greymouth/Punakaiki/Christchurch/Auckland
This morning we drive to Punakaiki to view the fascinating
pancake rock formation. Then we travel back to visit
Sandy Town, a restored gold mining town of 1860's where
you pan for gold, ride on the steam train. After lunch
we travel through rainforests to Otira, snowcapped peaks
of southern Alps, the rugged Gorges of Waimakariri river
and across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch to
catch the flight to Auckland.
Notes:
1. The quoted price is for each person in over 6-people
groups. Any group fewer than 6 people is required to pay
an extra fee of 10-20%.
2. The price includes transportation for scheduled tours,
meals, hotel, admissions and the service of tour guide
.
3. Tourists are to share twin-bed rooms. For those who
require single-bed rooms, an extra surcharge of NZD70.00
per night is required.
4. Children between the ages of 2-12 are charged 80% of
adult fees.
5. Tips for the guides, drivers and porters are not included
in the charged fees. It is recommended that each visitor
should pay NZD 6.00 per day to the guide and the driver.
6. The company reserves the right to make any change of
the scheduled tour due to extreme climate changes or natural
disasters.
